Kodiak Posi-Drive Independent Traction Systems
Available on all sizes of bleacher, the Kodiak Posi-Drive independent traction power systems are based on two established facts:

A - Independently hinged traction power systems are smoother and supply better, more consistent traction than “fixed” (non floating) systems

B - Independently weighted tractors perform significantly better than those that rely only on the weight of the bleacher to provide traction.

An irregular, uneven floor surface can cause binding and spinning when the tractors are “fixed” firmly under the first row. Inadequate weight on the bleacher tractors will reduce traction and can cause slippage of the first row during operation. The hinging of Kodiak’s self weighted tractors under the first row ensures consistent traction regardless of floor surface…year after year! Kodiak Posi-Drive systems are currently installed on 3-30 row bleacher systems on wood and synthetic floors and do not wander.

SPECIFICATION:
Kodiak “Posi-Drive” Propulsion System: The entire system shall open and close by the Kodiak “Posi-Drive” system. All motors to be ½ HP instant reversing automatic resent 120/208/240 VAC. All tractor frames to be made from 7-gauge steel. All axle shafts to be 1” steel, all wheels to be vulcanized rubber. All drive chains and sprockets to be #50. All speed reducers to be Helical Drive. All tractors in the system must be mounted “free floating” to the first row of the bleacher with heavy duty hinges and grade 5 hardened steel through-bolts (for up to 11 rows) or 2 only 1” steel motor mount rods (12 rows plus), with steel bar weight harnesses set over the tractors according to the duty. The number of tractors and added weight are to be determined by the requirements based on the number of rows and type of seating. “Frictionless” systems are systems not independently operating under their own weight and requiring weight transfer from the bleacher system itself is not acceptable.
